Design Information

Caledonia CC is Matthew Carter’s rendition of William Addison Dwiggins’ Scotch Roman serif. Originally adapted for Time magazine from Linotype’s 9-point drawings, it preserves the refined details, sturdy rhythm, and typographic clarity that made the original so effective. Available in Regular and Italic with 4 optical sizes — Display, Headline, Subhead, and Text. Caledonia CC is well-suited for magazines, newspapers, and long-form reading, where readability will be delivered with style.
